Sports 1440

Sports 1440 (CKJR) is licensed in Wetaskiwin, where the transmitter is located, though all broadcasts are out of our studios in West Edmonton Mall. The coverage map below shows where the signal extends. During the fall pattern change, there will be slightly better reach to the north.

Like all AM frequencies, Sports 1440 will experience interference. Reception in cars will be less prone to interference than tuning in some buildings. Listeners can hear a crystal clear broadcast by streaming via computer, smart speaker or mobile device through apps like Stingray Music, RadioPlayer, and iHeartradio. Streaming outside of Canada is limited to non-music programmed stations. Once we no longer play music on Sports 1440, streaming will be available outside of Canada.
